Dagon 2
Resonance control that listens first.
Dagon pulls harsh resonances and runaway notes down in context, without flattening the track. Version 2 adds AI Assist to find your starting point, a History view to see where it works, Mid/Side and much faster timing. Still completely free.

Dagon pulls the painful parts down without flattening the track.
Resonances, harsh notes, and runaway level spikes are detected in context, then reduced with transparent spectral control that keeps the musical shape intact.

New in Dagon 2
See what’s new.
Alice walks through AI Assist, the History view, Mid/Side, output Gain and the faster timing on real vocals, pads and pianos.
01 · AI Assist
A starting point in seconds.
Not sure where to start? Play your track and press AI Assist. Dagon listens for a few seconds, works out what kind of sound it is hearing and sets the nodes, Depth and Threshold to suit, low end included. It tells you what it found and what it changed.
- Hears drums, bass, keys, synth, vocal or a full mix
- Kicks and 808s keep their low end; pads and keys get their boom and mud treated
- The whole result is one undo step, and nodes you moved yourself keep your setting
- Runs inside the plug-in, on your computer
02 · History view
See where Dagon works.
Press History and the spectrum becomes a picture of what Dagon has been cutting: the live cut on top with its average over time, and the last 10 seconds as a timeline that flows while your DAW plays. The spots it works on most are named with their frequency and note.
- The average shows where your sound keeps ringing
- The three busiest spots, named with frequency and note
- Click a spot and Dagon places a node there
- Hold anywhere to hear only that range
03 · More control
The features you asked for.
Mid/Side, output Gain and timing you can actually hear. Your existing projects and presets sound exactly as before.
Mid/Side
Work on only the middle or only the sides. Sidechain the mid of your pads to the vocal and open space right in the centre.
Output Gain
Make up the level Dagon removes, so you can compare at matched loudness.
Faster timing
Attack and Release now set the timing you hear. Sibilance and fast pops are caught on time, with no added latency.
04 · Smart Suppression
Resonance control that follows the source.
Smart mode detects relative spectral prominence instead of chasing raw input level. Quiet tracks and loud tracks get consistent resonance reduction, so you can set the amount musically and keep moving.
Level Independent
Smart mode reacts to prominence, not just volume. A harsh ring is treated as a harsh ring whether the channel is quiet or loud.
One Amount Control
The main threshold becomes AMOUNT in Smart mode, giving you a simpler musical control over how much cleanup Dagon applies.
Transparent By Design
Reduction follows the spectrum instead of clamping the whole signal, preserving tone, movement, and transient shape.
Fast To Set
Drop it on a vocal, drum bus, synth, or full loop and push until the harshness steps back. No deep setup required.
05 · Focus
Broad or surgical.
Focus controls spectral selectivity without changing the feel of the plugin. Low values are wider and smoother. High values are narrower and more surgical, locking onto the exact resonant areas that need to move.
Smooth Cleanup
Lower Focus values soften wider tonal areas for natural broadband cleanup on loops, buses, and full-range sources.
Narrow Suppression
Higher Focus values concentrate reduction around sharper resonances, perfect for whistles, harsh notes, or metallic ringing.
Attack Included
Attack controls how quickly Dagon enters suppression, so resonance onset can be gentle or immediate depending on the source.
Release That Breathes
Release shapes how the reduction lets go. Fast for tight repair, slower for invisible movement.
06 · Five Modes
Choose the kind of control.
Dagon is not locked to one style of suppression. Move from classic resonance control to softer perceptual cleanup, volume ducking, or Smart mode when you want the plugin to decide from musical context.

Resonance
The direct mode for reducing active resonant peaks while keeping the surrounding audio intact.
Soft & Perceptual
Transparent modes for smoother, more forgiving cleanup when you want Dagon to disappear into the source.
Volume
Level suppression for dynamic control when the issue is not only tone, but movement and overall energy.
Smart
Adaptive resonance control that detects relative prominence and gives you a single amount control for fast results.

Five stars, and it's free.

I spent hours tweaking Ozone Spectral Processor to eliminate ringing from my track.
Then I tried Dagon. The problem gone with just default setting. This plugin is magic.
It's a five-star plugin all day long. It looks great, does the job it's supposed to do, it's completely free.
It has no colorisation like old Soothe from memory, much more transparent like a simpler Tbaudio's Dseq3 which I like and use.
Eu tenho o soothe 2 a alguns anos e quase nunca uso, baixei esse a alguns dias e já usei mais que o soothe kkkkkTranslated from Portuguese: “I've had Soothe 2 for a few years and almost never use it. I downloaded this a few days ago and I've already used it more than Soothe, lol.”
I’ve using dagon since they drop it bc of their free side chain plugin, which is awesome, and i Really like this plugin company ❤️
Tested it on vocals...it is far better than Waves equator plugin…
But I’m impressed how good dagoon sounds :)
I tried it and really like what it can do. You have to install their 'Hub' to download, but the process was quick and easy. I was up and playing around with it in a minute.
Honestly I can't over state how great this tool is.
Your mixes will sound much clearer.
I used it on a track I was having issues with and now I'm actively working through my older recordings.
I just got it and wow. Can't believe this is a freebie that sound quality is insane and UI is so beautiful!!!!
lifesaver 😭
